Differs from V. debilis mainly by leaves larger, petiole 1-4 mm, lamina broadly ovate to suborbicular, 6-15 x 3-10 mm, deeply irregularly obtuse-serrate or crenate with to 6 teeth per side, or entire; apical cells of glandular hairs larger, darker; seeds with a ± distinct chalazal podium on ventral side. 2n= 14. Fl. 2-5. Pinus forest,macchie, rocky slopes, bare clayish soil, fallow fields, s.l.-1200 m.
