Stems erect, to 25 cm, slender. Leaf sheaths glabrous, uppermost not or hardly inflated. Ligule c. 0.5 mm. Leaf blades drying convolute, linear, 3 cm x 0.3-0.6 mm, adaxial surface scabridulous. Spikes solitary, 10-25 cm, with up to 25 spikelets, glabrous, ± straight. Glumes longer than internodes, lanceolate, 4.3-5.5 x 0.7-0.8 mm, green, acuminate, glabrous, keel winged. Anthers linear, 3.5-4 mm, yellowish- to purplish-brown. Chasmogamous. . Fl. 6. Sea shore, nr s.l.
