Low shrub. Ochreae white, elongate, about as long as the internodes. Leaves oblong-lanceolate, acute, scabrous. Pedicels articulated near the apex. Perianth 5-merous. Stamens 8. Stigmas 3. Fruiting perianth segments all ± equal in size, none reflexed.

Endemic; of doubtful affinity. Ir.-Tur. element.
