Stems leafy below, leafless above, up to 40 cm, bearing reddish powdery scales, grooved. Leaves 2, reniform, petiolate, denticulate, bullate. Pedicels jointed at or below the middle. Perianth segments persistent in fruit. Fruit reddish brown, triquetrous, very broadly winged, 9-15 mm. Fl. 6. Rocky slopes, 2300-2700 m.
