Distinguished from the largely allopatric L. punctata by its longer petioles 5-19 mm, usually broader leaves with lamina 50-99 x 2745 mm, more numerous flowers 4-14 in each whorl with pedicels to 25 mm, and more broadly ovate corolla lobes 10-14 x 7-10 mm. Fl. 6-9. Wet places, in forest and scrub, .s.l.-2440 m.
