Stems 30-60 cm, tomentose, some of the hairs glandular. Basal leaves biternate, the leaflets crenately lobed, glabrous above, sparsely pilose to tomentose beneath. Flowers somewhat nodding. Sepals blue to purplish, 25-35 mm. Petals white, the spur blue to purplish, longer than the lamina, somewhat hooked. Follicles up to 30 mm, pilose. Fl. 6-7. Damp meadows, Picea forests, 1700-2800 m.
