Perennial. Stem flexuous, crispate-hairy, to 40 cm, sparingly branched. Cauline leaves palmatisect, deeply dissected into lanceolate, acute segments 3-15 x 1-2 mm. Racemes 2-4, lax, crispate-hairy. Flowers dark blue. Spur horizontal, c. 12 mm, slender, shortly and obtusely saccate. Upper petals 7 mm, bifid to 1 mm at apex. Lower petals 8-9 mm; claw 4 mm, limb ovate, c. 5 mm, bifid to middle, white-pilose. Follicles 3, ±glabrous, 10 mm; styles c. 3 mm. Fl. 7-8. Ravines and scree, c. 2000 m.
