Differs from N. nigellastrum in having its claw long-exserted, petals 3-4 x sepals, lower lip of limb broadly ovate, cordate at base, bifid. Capsule of 2-3 united follicles. Fl. 5-6. Vineyards, 600-1000 m. 
W. Syria and adjacent parts of the Syrian Desert.
