Biennial or perennial herb, with erect or ascending stems up to 30 cm, often papillose-hispid. Leaves mostly pinnatifid. Sepals scabrous, scarcely enlarging in fruit. Petals 5-7, the lateral lobes of the back petal limbs palmately divided into linear segments. Capsule pendulous, papillose-scabrid on the nerves, the stigmatic lobes forming distinct conical teeth, c.2 mm. Seeds c. 2 mm, without a distinct sinus. Fl. 6. 400-1500 m.
