Stems slender, usually much-branched from near the base. Leaves 1-2 cm, segments divided into 3-5 oblong lobes, petiolate; stipules usually not imbricate, lobes triangular. Fruiting hypanthium, including sepals, 2-2,6 mm, usually protruding beyond the stipules; sepals patent. Fl. 5-7. Cultivated fields, disturbed habitats, s.l.-1150 m.
Europe, Caucasia; introduced in N. America, Australia.
