Small tree 5-6 m; young shoots white-pubescent at first, becoming glabrous. Leaves broadly ovate to orbicular, up to 7 x 9 cm, deeply 3-lobed, central lobe entire or with 1-2 pairs of secondary lobules, lateral lobes with small basal lobules, margin dentate, bilaterally glabrous or with a few hairs restricted to the underside of the midribs; petioles up to 7 cm. Umbels c. 7 cm across, 6-8flowered; flowers up to 4 cm diam.; pedicels 2-4 cm; petals white, entire to 3-dentate. Fruit up to 3 em, yellowish-green, pruinose. FI. 5-6. Rocky slopes, in forests and open places, 800-1000 m.
