Caespitose glandular perennial with woody caudices and usually ascending or prostrate flowering stems, 10-20 em. Leaves digitate with 5 leaflets, or trifoliolate; leaflets obovate-cuneate or suborbicular, 10-20 x 7-16 mm, crenate, sparsely pubescent or glabrous-green above, sparsely pilose beneath. Flowers in lax cymes. Epicalyx segments oblong-elliptic, obtuse, usually shorter than ovateoblong, acute, 4-5 mm sepals. Petals yellow, obcordate, 5-8 mm. Achenes rugose; style subterminal, clavate at apex, longer than achene.
