Erect or ascending canescent perennial with woody caudices. Flowering stems 5-30 cm. Leaves trifoliolate; leaflets sessile or petiolulate, obovate to broadly ovate, 15-30 x 10-20 mm, crenate-dentate, canescent-tomentose below, canescent-tomentose or glabrous-green above. Flowers in terminal cymes. Epicalyx segments linear-lanceolate, acuminate. Sepals broadly ovate-oblong, 5-9 mm. Petals white or rarely pale yellow, spathulate-unguiculate, 6-10 mm, slightly longer than sepals. Achenes pubescent or glabrous; style subterminal, longer than achene.
