Ascending or procumbent annual or short-lived perennial, 15-30 cm. Leaves pinnate; leaflets 5-11, oblong to obovate, 7-15 x 3-9 mm, incised-dentate, green, sparsely villous or subglabrous. Flowers solitary, axillary. Epicalyx segments lanceolate, acute, as long as or longer than the ovate, acute, 2-4 mm sepals. Petals yellow, obovate, 2-3 mm, shorter than sepals. Achenes minutely rugose; style subterminal, conical, as long as or longer than achene. Fl. 5-9. Dampish waste ground, ditches, 200-2500 m.
