Stems procumbent, woody at base, 10-20 cm, intricately branched, retrorsely puberulent. Leaves 10-15 x 2.5-3.5 mm, oblong, lanceolate, obtuse, narrowed into a short petiole, ± revolute, slightly scabrid on margins and midrib, somewhat leathery-succulent, blackening when dry. Corolla pink, 10-13 mm. Drupe c. 4.5-6 mm, glossy, red. Fl. 5-8. Rocky slopes, often on limestone, s.l.-2000 m.
