Slender annual with weak, often trailing stems up to 30 cm long. Basal leaves reniform to ± orbicular, with 7-9 broadly triangular, acute to shallow obtuse teeth. Petals 3-5,5 mm long, oblong-elliptic, bright yellow, with an orange blotch or fine orange spots at the base. Ovary superior. Fl. 3-9. Stream banks, damp rocks, wet shady places, s.l.-2300 m.
