Perennial, 15-30 cm, very densely greyish or whitish adpressed stellate-tomentose. Stem slender, terete, usually branched. Basal leaves linear-spathulate, 2,5-7 x 0,3-0,5 cm, entire, obtuse, indistinctly petiolate, often folded; cauline similar but smaller. Inflorescence loose, few-flowered, branched, with clusters of 1-4, mostly 2 flowers, rarely with stalked 3-flowered dichasium. Bracts minute, linear. Pedicels 5-9 mm. Calyx 2,5-3,5 mm, lobes oblong to linear-oblong, obtuse. Corolla yellow, 10-12 mm diam., without pellucid glands, with minute stellate hairs outside. Stamens 5, anthers reniform, filaments with whitish-yellow wool, 2 anterior glabrous above. Capsule ovate-globose, 2-3 mm, densely stellate-tomentose.  Fl. 6.
