Biennial, 30-100 cm, indumentum hard, with adpressed stellate hairs, ±glabrescent above, eglandular. Stem slender, terete, many-branched. Basal leaves elliptic to broadly elliptic, 5-15 x 2-9 cm, wavy, obtusely crenate to entire, petiole 3-6 cm; cauline smaller, oblong to lanceolate, obscurely crenulate to entire. Inflorescence loose, with numerous branches, forming broadly pyramidal panicle, with clusters of 1-7 flowers . Bracts minute, ovate to lanceolate, acutish. Stalk ofdichasium 2-6 mm, pedicels 2-5 mm; bracteoles minute. Calyx 2-3 mm, lobes oblong to spathulate-oblong, subobtuse or mucronate. Corolla yellow, 10-15 mm diam., with pellucid glands, glabrous outside. Stamens 5, anthers reniform, filaments with whitish-yellow wool, 2 anterior glabrous near apex. Capsule ovate-oblong, 3,5-4 x 2,5-3 mm, glabrous. Fl. 5-6. Limestone rocks, rocky slopes, 900-1000 m.
