Perennial, 30-45 cm, finely adpressed greyish or whitish floccose-tomentose, glabrescent, eglandular. Stem slender, thin, erect or ascending-erect, terete, usually branched. Basal leaves narrowly oblong, ligulate, 2-10 x 0,5-2 cm, obscurely crenulate-serrate or entire, obtuse or acutish, petiole 1-4 cm; cauline similar but smaller. Inflorescence forming broad panicle, with loose clusters of 2-3 flowers. Bracts linear-oblong, blunt or acutish. Pedicels to 5 mm; bracteoles linear-oblong. Calyx 4-7 mm, lobes linear-oblong, ± obtuse. Corolla yellow, 16-22 mm diam., without pellucid glands, stellate-tomentose outside. Stamens 5, anthers reniform, filaments with whitish-yellow wool up to anthers. Capsule ovate-oblong, 3-5 x 2,5-3,5 mm, tomentose. Fl. 6-7. Pinus brutia forest, s.l.-250 m.
