Perennial, 20-40 cm, densely adpressed white-tomentose, eglandular, later glabrescent above. Stem terete, ascending-erect, simple or with few branches. Basal leaves oblong- to linear-spathulate, obtuse, 2-6 x 0,5-2 cm, entire, often folded, petiole 1-5 cm; upper cauline linear, acute, sessile. Inflorescence lax; simple or with few long branches, 20-many-flowered. Bracts minute, lanceolate to linear. Pedicels 3-10 mm, ebracteolate. Calyx 3-5 mm, divided to 3/4-4/5 into linear, acutish lobes. Corolla yellow, 10-20 mm diam., with pellucid glands, with sparse minute hairs outside. Stamens 5, anthers reniform, filaments with whitish-yellow hairs, 2 anterior glabrous near apex. Capsule elliptic, 5-6 x 3-4 mm, stellate-tomentose. Fl. 6. Pinus nigra forest, 1200-1350 m.
