Plant 30-150 cm, stellate-tomentose. Leaves petiolate, entire, lamina 2,5-12 cm, ovate to oblong. Flowers shortly pedicellate, in congested axillary clusters of 4-16. Calyx 3-5 mm, teeth triangular, 1-2 mm, fruiting calyx membranaceous, brownish, globose with short teeth, 10-22 mm. Corolla yellowish-green, 5-8 mm, lobes ovate-triangular, patent, 2-2·5 mm. Berry enclosed, red, globose, 5-8 mm diam. Fl. 5-12. Stony places, nr s.l.
