Perennial herb, up to 30 cm. Main axis not terminating in a rosette, but in a flowering stem. Stipules lanceolate, subentire or shortly fimbriate-dentate. Leaves ovate to ovate-lanceolate, shallowly crenate or crenate-serrate. Flowers blue. Lower petal 7-18 mm, spur yellowish, 2 x or more longer than the calyx appendages.
Throughout Europe, Greenland, Caucasia, C. Asia.
