Perennial, tuberculate-setose. Stems few to several, simple or more rarely branched, erect, 15-40 cm. Leaves elltire or crenulate. green, herbaceous, tuberculate-setose on both surfaces and at margins; basal and lower cauline leaves oblanceolate-spathulale, 3-6 x 0,6-1,5 cm. attenuate into 3,5 cm petiole, broadly acute to subacute; middle and upper cauline leaves subsessile, semiamplexicaul, oblong-elliptic to narrowly oblanceolate, 1,5-6,5 x 0,3-1,5 cm, acute. Cymes bracteate, ± dense even after anthesis and in fruit. Bracts linear-laneeolate, 2-5 mm. Pedicels to 2 mm. Calyx 2-3,5 mm in flower, accrescent to 4-9 mm in fruit, white-strigillose, divided almost to base; lobes erect, linear, rounded-obtuse or narrowly oblong-spathulate, truncate, to 1,2 mm, broad, green, tipped violet. Corolla bluish-violet ; tubc straight. 1,6-2,7 mm; limb 1·4-2·6 mm. lobes oblong, 1,1-2,2 mm, patent, obtuse, glabrous. Faueal scales white, ± exserted from throat, broadly rectangular. 0,6 x 0,9-1 mm. minutely papillate except for recurved apex, villolls at sides. Stamens inserted slightly above middle of tube. filaments 0,7 mm, anthers included or barely exserted. 1,2-1,5 mm. Style,.1,8 mm, glabrous; stigma capitate, purplish. Nutlets 4 . erect, 3,5-4,5 x 1,6 mm, thickened at base, minutely verrucose. smooth in upper half.
