Ascending, glabrous, branched perennial with a woody fusiform root. Stems finely ridged, 10-35 cm. Basal leaves ovate-triangular, 2-pinnate, up to 8 x 2,5 cm; ultimate segments ovate, lobed or pinnatisect, up to 10 x 2,5 mm. Petiole usually longer than rachis, sheathed. Upper cauline leaves few, small, with broad sheathing petioles. Rays 3-12, unequal, 1-4 cm. Bracts 2-10, simple, c. 7 x 0,5 mm, or leaf-like; deflexed in fruit. Bracteoles 2-8, 2-8,5 mm, deflexed in fruit. Flowers white or pinkish, 10-12 per umbellule. Fruits glabrous, ellipsoid, c.5 x 2,5 mm; styles c. 0,5 mm; stylopodium flat-conical. Fl. 7-8. Alpine meadows, loose rocks, 1600-2560 m.
