Stoloniferous perennial herb. Stems ascending to erect, 12-60 cm, furrowed, ± glabrous. Leaves all pinnate to pinnatisect , with oblong, toothed segments. Petals bright yellow, 3-5 mm, clearly exceeding the sepals. Fruits siliquiform, linear, often curved, 7-18 mm, borne on horizontal or somewhat ascending pedicels. Fl. 6-9. Marshes, swampy ground, river banks, etc., very rarely in cultivated land, s.l.-1800 m.
