Annual. Stems erect, up to 40 cm, glandular-pubescent. Basal leaves soon withering, ± spathulate; cauline leaves narrowly elliptic to lanceolate, cuneate, glandular-pubescent. Inflorescence a very lax dichasial cyme. Calyx greenish, the nerves inconspicuous, 10-12 mm, somewhat inflated in fruit, crisped pubescent. Petals pink . Anthophore 4-5 mm, somewhat scabrous. Capsule ovoid globose, included in the calyx. Seed flattened, brown, with a deeply canaliculate, striate back and smooth faces. Fl. 6. Pine forests, nr. s.l.
