Scapose perennial. Leaves 20-30 cm; leaflets 10-17 mm, lanceolate, glabrous or simple sub-pilose above, simple sub-pilose below, 15-20-paired; stipules 10-15 mm, lanceolate, acuminate, glabrous or white-hairy. Flowers in lax 15-25-flowered racemes. Bracts 3-5 mm, ovate, acuminate, black-hairy. Bracteoles c.3 mm, lanceolate, black-hairy. Calyx 8-18 mm, tubular at first, becoming globose-inflated, with sparse adpressed simple black and a few white hairs; teeth 2-3 mm, shortly lanceolate. Corolla pink or lilac; standard 20-28 mm. Legumes 8-9 mm long, ovoid, ±adpressed black-hairy; beak 1 mm. 1850 m.
