Annual, 10-40 cm, often branched from base, viscid, indumentum consisting of long spreading eglandular and shorter glandular hairs. Lower and higher leaves unifoliolate, the others trifoliolate; leaflets denticulate, oblong to obovate, 10-25 x 5-13 mm. Flowers forming dense terminal racemes. Peduncle 5-10 mm, not awned, 1-flowered. Calyx campanulate, 9-14 mm, parted to ½  into oblong-lanceolate 3-7-nerved lobes. Corolla pale yellow, 13-16 mm, standard often red suffused. Legume ovate-rhomboid, 8-10 x 4-6 mm, glandular hairy, 2-3-ovuled. Seeds smooth, orbicular, 3 mm. Fl 5-7. Macchie, Pinus woods, fallow fields, vineyards, s.l.-700 m.
