Corm tunic coriaceous, splitting longitudinally into many triangular teeth. Leaves 6-13, synanthous, 0.5-1 mm broad. Prophyll absent. Bracteole present, much narrower than bract. Throat of perianth glabrous, yellow; segments 2-3 x 0.7-1 cm, obtuse to rounded, blue, suffused yellow near base. Filaments 3-4 mm, yellow, glabrous; anthers 9-11 mm, greyish-green or brownish-green before dehiscence; pollen yellow. Style dividing into 3 yellow to orange branches. 2n 20. Fl. 3-4. Open rocky slopes, 1100-1800 m.
