Glabrous perennial, 6-12 cm. Root tubers oblong or fusiform. Stem 1-3-flowered. Radical leaves pedately tripartite or trisect, the segments divided at least to the middle into obtuse, ovate or oblong lobes. Sepals spreading, glabrous or pilose. Petals 8-10 mm. Fruiting head ovate, c. 5 mm. Achenes semiorbicular, c. 2 mm, strongly flattened, punctulate, keeled but scarcely winged, narrowed into a subuncinate, 0,5 mm beak. Fl. 4-6. Mountain slopes, 1600-2500 m.
